How to Paint a Rusted Metal Patio Set with Granny B's Products
Materials:
* Rusted metal patio set
* Granny B's Block and Tackle primer
* Granny B's Chalkpaint and Polka.Painy(your desired color)
* Polka Seal
* Wire brush
* Sandpaper (120 grit)
* Paintbrushes
* Ryobi sprayer - optional
* Drop cloths
Instructions:
* Prepare the Surface:
* Clean: Use a wire brush to remove any loose rust. For stubborn rust, you might need a wire wheel attachment for a drill.
* Sand: Lightly sand the surface with 120-grit sandpaper to create a smooth texture and help the primer adhere better and use a file for more stubborn or tricky areas
* Clean Again: Wipe away any dust or debris with a damp cloth.
* Prime:
* Apply: Apply a coat of Granny B's Block and Tackle to the entire patio set. Follow the primer directions for the cleaned metal surface and check whether a corrosion-resistant metal primer is needed for outdoor use
* Dry: Allow the primer to dry completely according to the product instructions.
* Paint:
* Apply: Apply the first coat of Granny B's / Polka Paint. Use a brush and roller for the different surfaces surfaces, a sprayer makes life so much easier - we love the Ryobi cordless sprayer!
* If you’re using a sprayer, dilute the paint with water until it’s slightly runnier than melted ice-cream!
* Dry: Let the paint dry completely before applying the second coat.
* Second Coat: Apply a second coat of paint for a more even and durable finish.
* Seal:
* Apply: Once the paint is completely dry, apply a coat of Polka.Seal. This will protect the paint from the elements and enhance its durability.
* Dry: Allow the clear coat to dry completely.

* Weather: Choose a dry, sunny day for painting to ensure proper drying.
* Drop Cloths: Protect your patio or surrounding area with drop cloths to prevent paint spills.
* Multiple Coats: For a more durable and long-lasting finish, consider applying additional coats of paint and seal.
